Your POS Terminal: Features, Usage, and Manager Tools for Odoo POS

Your point-of-sale terminal runs your store's Odoo POS full-screen, ready to ring up sales. The device is locked down so staff only see a simple home screen with a few approved apps - the POS app is front and center. Open it (or, if requested, it opens on its own) and it signs in automatically, so there's no login to deal with.

This section explains how to use the terminal day to day, the manager tools built into it, how to handle common issues, and the hardware that goes with it.

What the terminal does

  • Processes sales, refunds, and payments through your POS

  • Prints receipts and opens the cash drawer (on terminals with a connected printer)

  • Shows an optional branded screensaver when idle

  • Includes a hidden manager menu for quick fixes and support
